Balance PROTECT

Financial security with Balance PROTECT! The optional additional insurance for the Cumulus credit card covers your open credit balance in the event of involuntary unemployment, incapacity to work or death. 

What is Balance PROTECT?

Balance PROTECT is an optional insurance from Helvetia, which can be taken out in addition to the existing insurance policies for the Cumulus credit card.

With Balance PROTECT, the insurance takes on the open credit balance in the event of involuntary unemployment, incapacity to work as a result of an accident or illness, or death as a result of an accident or illness.

What does "optional" mean?

The insurance can be taken out voluntarily for a premium contribution and is not a fixed component of the benefits of the Cumulus credit card.

Who can take out Balance PROTECT?

As the primary cardholder, you can take out Balance PROTECT if you satisfy the application conditions, your place of residence is in Switzerland, you are between 18 and 65 years of age and you have been employed for at least the last 12 months.

How high are the insured sums?

The insured sum is a maximum of CHF 15,000 per incident and a total of CHF 45,000 per card agreement.

How much does it cost?

Balance PROTECT costs 0.5% of the monthly invoice amount. If no payments are made using the card and the invoice amount is zero, no premium contribution is charged.

How can I take out Balance PROTECT?

As a new customer, you can take out Balance PROTECT directly in the Cumulus credit card application. As an existing customer, you can take out the insurance via the Balance PROTECT application form.

How do I report a claim?

In the event of a claim, contact the service provider appointed by Helvetia without delay:

How can I cancel Balance PROTECT?

You can cancel the insurance at any time without stating a reason, at the end of a month subject to a 30-day notice period. You must send the cancellation in writing by post to Viseca Payment Services SA, Hagenholzstrasse 56, Postfach 7007, 8050 Zurich.
